University Dentist Explains that Cavities can Remineralize

Below is a video of: Dr. Domenick Zero, Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Oral Health Research Institute at Indiana University's School of Dentistry, spoke about demineralization and remineralization.

Here is a summary of what Dr. Zero write: Once enamel is remineralized it is more and more resistant to subsequent acid challenges than intact sound enamel. Filling materials can break down, and has margins. If we take out lesions that can be arrested, then we are doing the patient a major disservice.
