Root Canals

The root canals of your teeth are a natural chamber that is filled with connective tissue and pulp.

A root canal procedure is the complete removal of the internal structures within the tooth, which includes, nerve tissue, blood vessels, and different types of cells.

You are left then with a dead tooth in your mouth.

Sometimes the gum of the tooth is inflamed because of a gum problem, not because of a problem with the tooth root.

Root Canal George Meinig Endontist

50 years ago Dr. Meinig was one of the founders of the American Association of Endodontists (root canal specialists).

Until Dr. Meinig read 1174 pages of detailed research by Weston Price (D.D.S., M.S., F.A.C.D) one of the world's greatest dentists, and his 60 man research team.

Dr. Meinig's discovery:

"[A] high percentage of chronic degenerative disease can originate from root filled teeth. The most frequent were heart and circulatory diseases. The next most common diseases were those of the joints, arthritis and rheumatism."

Infected Roots Requiring Root Canals Can Be Healed With Nutrition

"Recently I ran into several complications with my teeth. I began to develop abscess near my gums. I went to have it checked by my dentist, only to find out that the tooth was infected and I needed a root canal, and a crown. I was devastated by these news, I felt like not only my teeth were failing on me, but also my diet. I've been following Paleo Diet for well over three years. Over the years i've noticed increase in muscle strenght, resistance to common colds, as well as physical endurance. Lately due to financial reasons, I was unable to afford to buy high quality raw grass-fed bison meat, and at times had to resort to SAD (standard american diet). I noticed that whenever I would eat cooked food, especially white flour, I would get an instant reaction, and develop an abscess on my gums withing a fifteen minutes. Later if I ate raw bison meat the swelling would deprecciate and dissapear on the next day. I was upset that i could see the link between my raw meat consumption and reduction in gum swelling, but my dentist could not. Luckly I was recommended to seek out the help of Rami Nagel through my Paleo Diet Yahoo group. I was glad to find someone who was both knowledgeable in proper diet application as well as dental carries. Rami Nagel was able to incorporate both fields, and the knowledge that foods can heal, and recommended me against the root canal procedure. He suggested for me to eat more raw meat, which I have began doing, since then I have zero cases of abscesses. Glad I went against the root canal." - Tim, Student

  • I was ready to have a tooth pulled and the dentist told me I needed a root canal but I had no money. I was in pain and the cheek had actually started to swell up. Within three weeks of trying the diet I could tell I was turning the corner. The tooth stopped hurting; my teeth all over became whiter. After over a month on the diet it is hard for me to feel which tooth was bothering me. When I look at it in the mirror it still has a hole but the tooth feels like it is healing. Thanks a million to Ramiel Nagel for writing this book. Unbelievable!
