Answers To Common Questions

The following will answer most of the questions directed towards Mr. Nagel. If your question is not answered here, then please write to comments@curetoothdecay.com

From the author:

I would like to summarize my answers to most people's questions. There are two key ways to treat your dental condition.

Conventional Way: Get a form a surgery, like a filling, a root canal, an extraction, crown, bridge and so forth. (Yes I know you don't want that, but I am just sharing the options.)

Holistic Way: Resolve the problem through lifestyle changes. Yes it actually works in a significant number of cases, see the testimonials.

Your situation may require both treatment modalities. If you go the conventional way, I suggest seeking the least invasive treatment from the most holistic oriented dentist possible.

Will your problem be cured from the contents of Cure Tooth Decay? The overwhelming majority of people who have written to me are very happy with the results. In other words, most people get some improvement, and for that they are grateful. Not everyone is restored to ideal health in two weeks. It is not necessarily easy for everyone to return to a healthier diet and for some it requires significant dietary changes.

Cure Tooth Decay also provides pointers for choosing the best dental treatment if you need one. Unless it is a real emergency (and you'll know if it is one) it doesn't hurt to try lifestyle changes first, before getting a serious dental treatment. The people who so far have had the greatest challenge in healing are those who have a tooth that has current pain that has already been treated with dental procedures, such as a painful tooth with a crown, bridge, or filling. This is a traumatized tooth, and those teeth can be difficult to heal. But even those difficult problems have healed in some individuals. I have some of the testimonials, one person had a toothache resolve in a few minutes that previously lasted for 6 months even after fillings.

If you have a dental treatment, it is important to consider the longer term tooth health goals. You want to recover from the treatment quickly, and not have the problem return. Cure Tooth Decay is the only book that clearly teaches you how to do this.

So consider that both in the short run, and long run, knowing the wisdom as to what really heals and prevents tooth cavities and infections will help you keep your natural teeth healthy.

1. Will your book cure my _____________ problem.

Please review the disclaimer at the bottom of each website page. It would be unethical for me to promise that this book will cure your problems, although it has cured and improved many people's problems. This book teaches people how to cure cavities, but the book itself does not cure cavities nor will following the principles guarantee success. There are many factors which contribute to tooth decay. For the typical person, someone in decent health, without any severe health problems, should they employ this program diligently, I would expect a very high rate of success. Dr. Price's protocol, when carefully followed (it's in the book) was at times over 95% effective. Cure Tooth Decay gives you the keys but it is your job to step through the door to dental health.

2. I have such and such dental problem, I don't know what treatment to do, what is your advice.

Honestly, giving dental advice over the e-mail is not a good use of my time, and it will usually not be of benifit. If you do not know what dental treatment to choose, then I am not going to tell you which one to choose. I can help you learn how to trust yourself, but the choice is always yours. If you ask me about dental treatments, I can say certainly, don't use fluoride or chemicals, don't get amalgam fillings, don't do serious dental surgery on children, don't put metal in children's mouths (use Ozone if you must have a treatment), and do your best to only get a root canal if it is absolutely necessary.

The best dental procedures are many times available through holistic or biological dentists. They are experts at dental treatments, I am not an expert on surgical dental treatments, but on building health to help you not need dental treatments or reduce the need for dental treatments.

3. I read your web site, I am trying such and such foods, and doing this and that extra treatment, am I following the protocol correctly?

I have spent countless hours detailing everything you need to know about remineralizing cavities. If you seriously are concerned about your dental health, and want to make a good change, then the energy and experience of reading my book will help you. I cannot answer your question quickly, it takes a good chunk of my 208 page book to explain how to heal cavities. To explain how to think differently, and to know what foods to choose. I don't have time to give everyone personal advice who does not read my book. I wrote the book so that I would not have to do that. Please invest in yourself, and invest in the time and energy I've spent to make this book happen by purchasing the book. If your question is not satisfied by the book, then you can write to me again and I will post answers and feedback online. Most people in the U.S. spend hundreds of dollars a month of food. Why not spend $28.95 to help you know what foods are good for you or not? Companies or individuals pay hundreds a month for health insurance, even car insurance costs several hundred dollars per month. Doesn't your dental health deserve a little "insurance." Buy my book, don't be stingy. If your stingy, your going to have a hard time getting the results you want. Hopefully in the future my book will be in libraries (it probably will always be check out though) so you can read it free, I am working on that.

4. I am a vegetarian and don't want to eat meat, will your book help me?

The current edition of my book contains a special section for vegetarians with a vegetarian protocol. Although I personally don't think vegetarian is an ideal diet, I offer some very useful pointers for the best foods to mineralize cavities, and the best way to prepare the foods you are already eating. Of course, knowing what foods to avoid, is very important.

5. I cannot drink raw milk, will this program work without milk or dairy.

The current edition of my book contains a non-dairy protocol. This protocol still encourages the use of yellow summer butter but avoids milk, cream and cheese. I also offer some alternatives if you cannot even eat butter.

6. My dentist says I have a cavity, or that I need this and that treatment. Is he telling me the truth, I don't trust him?

I am not a dentist and it is hard for me to know whether your dentist is telling you the truth about the health of your teeth. If you feel scared and a sense of fear. Then you probably ARE NOT getting the truth. If you feel at ease, peaceful, a sense of rightness about the treatment, YOU ARE GETTING THE TRUTH. In my book I talk about misdiagnosis, it is rampant in the dental field. I encourage people to find a dentist they trust. There are a few conventional dentists that are in good integrity as practitioners, and a higher percentage of holistic and biological dentists that can give honest and supportive feedback. So get a second opinion first. That being said, one must differentiate between the diagnosis, and the recommendations for the cure. Most dentists 98-99% won't recommend a nutritional cure. As a result, many times a dentist will give you an accurate diagnosis, but may not offer you the best treatment. See the next question as well..

7. I have a large cavity, can your book cure my cavity.

This is a complicated issue as it depends if you have an active cavity or an arrested cavity. Yes it is possible. However it is more realistic, if you have a serious and painful cavity, to assume that you can limit and avoid future dental treatments by following my protocol. Do not expect serious results unless you put in equal and serious efforts. If you are a pregnant or nursing mother, or have other chronic health problems then it will be significantly more difficult to heal a serious cavity. In these cases it can take months or years to heal holistically. So this program, while in the long run can produce results, in the short term it may not take you out of pain. I describe in my book a protocol that is 95% effective for even severe cavities. Again, results vary for each individual depending on their past health history, their current life circustances, their access to high quality foods, and their desire and ability to make change. One person healed a severely infected tooth in a short period of time. Other people have had difficulty and results have taken months to achieve. I apologize for the vague answer here but this is a situation where each case is different. See the next question.

8. I have one tiny cavity, can your book cure my cavity.

My book does not cure anyones cavities. My book provides you with the deepest and most truthful knowledge on the real cause of cavities and provides you with extremely effective techniques in preventing cavities. If you have a small cavity, it is highly likely that in applying even some of the strategies I describe in Cure Tooth Decay, that you can resolve your problem. Keep in mind that I don't encourage not paying attention to your cavity. If you have a small one, you should monitor it carefully to see if it gets bigger. That is how you can get feedback whether your personal nutritional program is working for you.

9. Will your book heal grooves near the gum line?

The book teaches people how to remineralize teeth. I have that problem, it's called abfraction. It's caused by an imbalance in your bite. The diet I am following has significantly healed those, but there are still grooves, they are just strong and protected. The way to heal it is with diet and an excellent orthodontist whom you trust.

10. Should I get a root canal or a tooth extraction?

In an ideal world you would do neither. If you must choose a dental treatment for your tooth, I cannot advise you on which treatment would be better. If you got a root canal, and were in excellent health, then the root canal would not likely become infected. If you get a tooth extraction, then it could lead to problems with your bite, or lead to other teeth moving. At which case you would need a dental bridge or a tooth implant. An extraction is less of a problem when you are in ideal health. I think that both of these treatment options are far from ideal. Look within yourself and see if either of those treatments give you an inner yes, or a feeling of excitation. If that is the case, then that's probably what your body is telling you to do. If it is not the case, then perhaps your internal voice of wisdom is guiding you to a different option and magically you have found my website! There are some natural treatments which I have not evaluated such as light therapy, ultrasound therapy, and ozone therapy, so perhaps there is an alternative for you regarding treatments. Otherwise, you can heal root canals, it doesn't always happen, but it is very possible. I have a detailed answer to this difficult question in my book!

11. Does your book contain recipies?

My book contains two recipies. I encourage readers to purchase either Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon and/or Recipie for Living Without Disease by Aajonus Vonderplantiz for more recipies.

12. Will your book heal my other health problems?

That would be nice if that happened for you but my guidlines are mostly focused on mineralizing teeth. The guideliens should also work for weak bones since the process is similar. My book will give you some key information about healing health problems and your health will likely improve if you stop eating procesed foods. If you have other diseases the best healing protocol I know is a raw foods plan that includes animal foods as described in Recipie for Living Without Disease by Aajonus Vonderplantiz.

13. I chipped my tooth, the dentist reattached it. Now the tooth is feeling funny and the dentist said I might need a root canal. Can your program heal my tooth.

I wish I could say, of course. A tooth is like a bone. So we all know that bones can heal under the right conditions, but can your tooth heal, maybe. I give you a 40-60% likelihood, as just a general guess, that you can heal this situation naturally. There are non-root canal treatments for a chipped tooth, using bonding materials, I would go that route first. Find a good dentist. Trying nutritional guidelines as described by Dr. Price, particularly 3x daily a dose of fermented cod liver oil, and high vitamin butter oil, will give your tooth the maximum chance of healing. While I wish I could promise you success, each case in trying to heal a difficult and injured tooth is an adventure. My book contains the best information on the subject matter of healing teeth, but that does not guarantee it will work for your situation as you had hoped. It will definitely help you limit the chance of a tooth infection, and the tooth pulp can protect itself when nutrition is optimal, and that takes work.

14. I am a vegan. Can you offer me advice or are there replacements for the special foods you list?

Top top quality spirulina or blue green algae are the best supplements. Also wheat grass juice and ocean minerals or herbal mineral suppliments are helpful. One of the best vegan diets in my opinon is based on Max Geron's cancer therapy. You are supposed to consume about 17 pounds of vegetables per day, in the form of soups and juices. I would also recommend wheat germ oil, or freshly ground wheat that is soaked or sprouted as the vitamin E in the wheat germ is a potent health source. Other grains properly prepared may also contain important vitamins. For fats use coconut, olive oil and avocado in large amounts.

To be clear, if you have more than one tiny cavity, it is highly likely that the vegan diet is contributing to your cavities. The new edition to my book has a vegetarian section, but no vegan section. If you've been a vegan for a long time, and only have one tiny cavity, some dietary adjustments may resolve your problems.

Dr. Price found that there were no native people, following their natural ways that were vegans or even close to vegans. It is not possible to obtain a wide variety of fat-soluble vitamins from plant sources.

The only other option is to get a really good probiotic, maybe your body can synthesize the nutrients in your gut if you have a healthy bacterial balance. Many probiotcis are made with milk, or are not vegan.

Also see tooth cavity vegan page.

15. I have a cavity that is infected and I have many other cavities in the beginning stage and I was wondering what I could eat.

See my root canal pages and specific dietary suggestions.

16. I chipped my tooth, what can I do and do I need a root canal.

If I chipped my tooth I wouldn't get a root canal. I would wait to see if an infection would happen, or if their was swelling. It really depends on how bad the chip is. Eating foods as described in my book, especially foods high in fat-soluble vitamins will help the problem. See the help of a good dentist, such as from the Holistic Dental Association. Holistic minded dentists can use bonding material, homeopathy and other less toxic treatments to deal with chips, even severe ones without a root canal. Root canals as a precautionary treatment, I think that's a bad idea (in most cases.) Again, your wisdom first, I don't know your exact situation, so choose what is right for you.

17. I eat a healthy diet with raw milk and raw butter. I have taken supplements my entire life. I eat only raw foods. My teeth are broken and cracked, what do I do?

The problem is probably a result of food supplements, and other harmful additions to your diet causing imbalanced blood chemistry. Try to stop taking food supplements (some can cause imbalances), and make sure you have enough fat-soluble vitamins in your diet. Fat-soluble vitamins are A, D, E, and K. Vitamins from whole foods only, no supplements. (Yes there are a few good supplements, and those are the ones that are just extracts of foods).

18. What's your opinion on hydrogen peroxide, food quality iodine, Rife ('zapper' type things) frequency instruments or colloidal silver?

Iodine is supposed to help temporarily stop decay. Hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse has helped some people but I don't recommend long term use and a researcher wrote me who used it along time and was very unhappy with how it made his teeth grey. Colloidal silver and other electrical things may also help the condition. Tooth decay is not caused by bacteria so these are treatments that probably won't cure the condition.

19. What is your opinion of tooth soap?

Tooth soap without any chemicals added to it is far better than toothpaste. Is it the ideal solution for your teeth? I do not know. Try it out and see if you like it. I have tried my own tooth soaps and eventually switched to herbal powders. Tooth soap is a far better choice then chemically laden tooth paste. Tooth soap is fun to use. It comes with a satisfaction guarantee. It's far better than almost anything you can buy in the store.

20. What is your opinion of Standard Process Food Based Supplements like Biodent and Calcifood?

Both of these suppliments are probably excellent but I have not evaluated them personally. Standard Process was started by nutritional great Royal Lee, who very much followed the work of Dr. Price.

21. What's your opinion of pastuerized goat and sheep cheeses.

For temporary usage its is acceptable but I have noticed that pasteurized cheese makes me feel unwell. It does not promote long term health.

22. What's your opinion of oats.

Oats can be good provided they are not heat treated. They also need to go through a fermentation process to disable phytates and other anti-nutrients. I don't know of traditional oat recipes but perhaps someone should call the Outer Hebrides and get some copies of recipes. Oats taste delicious and have lots of minerals, make sure oats are freshly ground.

23. Does stevia promote tooth decay? I thought in didn't because it doesn't affect your blood sugar.

Unprocessed stevia (not the white packets) is one of the safest sweeteners available. Even still, it does seem to somehow contribute to tooth decay if it is used too often, or if your body is out of balance when you are using it. I don't know how or why this happens exactly, but it probably has to do with blood chemistry and intestinal bacteria.

24. Is eating raw organic eggs dangerous?

Eating raw organic eggs is not dangerous. However eating raw eggs will probably make you sick. The sickness is your body adjusting and detoxifying. I eat raw eggs frequently and I believe they are vital to many health improvements I have. Raw eggs are one of the most easily digestible foods available.

25. Ever since childhood I had gum problems. I tried your guidelines in the book, it helped alot. But my problems still are not going away. I have aches and pains all over my body. What can I do?

contact http://www.ifnh.org
or/and http://www.ppnf.org

For a holistic health practioner refferral. SOMA or ALF could help with the facial pain.

Another idea just came to me. You may have heavy metal poisoning. Take steps to check and see if you have that, find a holistic doctor, naturopath, or chiropractor who specializes in heavy metal detoxify, see if you can locate the cause. Many people are exposed to heavy metals through antibiotics and vaccines. They get stuck in the intestines, or the intestinal bacterial balance becomes damaged, and a result, gum disease, or tooth decay. Keep searching for the cause. The cause is known and knowable, you can find answers, fight the vagueness and take action.

26. Although you say your daughter had severe tooth decay when she was very young, did that affect her permanent teeth as well?  Or is it still too early to tell? My son is 7 and has fillings and two steel caps on baby teeth (molars).  I am wondering if he could still grow nice healthy strong adult teeth with no decay.

The adult teeth begin growth in the mouth bones from the time of a very early age. For 7 years your son may not have had the best diet resulting in decay. I know another parent whose daughter had severe decay and then her adult teeth came out nicely.

It is possible with significant dietary changes that he can grow strong teeth, as the adult teeth still form and harden until the age of about 12. All you can do is make the best health choices possible now. Special foods to help build healthy teeth are described in my book.

27. Does your approach help with jawbone cavitations.

Improving your diet will help your body build up resistance to infection and help your body heal the infection. I cannot say if you will achieve the ideal results you are hoping for, however you are likely to find an improvement with the combination of diet improvement and topical herbal treatments.

28. Nourishing Traditions does not seem to have recipes for soaking dough longer than 1 day.

Here are two links to the Weston A Price foundation with recipes for making bread soaking the grains longer than 1 day.

Recipe 1
Recipe 2

29. You suggest oysters, clams and other shellfish in your book, but I don't like them, or I cannot access them I live in the middle of the rural U.S.

Although there are oysters and clams that can be purchased frozen, or in glass jars when time permits. I suggest a careful review of the text. 2 of 3 special food categories are required for ideal health. This means you can do raw dairy, and organs of land animals, without sea foods. You must use trial and error and your own internal guidance to decide what to do. They are great foods and help balance out diets. Since you are writing about fish, to me it is a sign that they would be good for you.

30. Can your book heal cavities under a current filling?

The book does not heal cavities, you heal cavities by correcting your health through balancing your diet. Some people have had a very hard time correcting cavities under fillings. Other people have had excellent success. I cannot promise you will get the results you desire, but it certainly is possible. Also, many people have misdiagnosed cavities under fillings. In other words, if you have no symptoms, and have a regular x-ray procedure, then sometimes a shadow appears under the filling which may not be a cavity. I suggest trying to confirm the diagnosis with a digital x-ray if you are not certain you have a cavity.

31. Do you have a Cure Tooth Decay ebook or PDF?

Yes there is a Cure Tooth Decay ebook. I removed the link because some customers were unhappy with it due to the ebook service I am using (not due to the content of the book). As a result, I removed the link as I have no control over refunds or customer service for the ebook software. My book is also available on Amazon kindle. For the ebook, it only works on windows software, you cannot print the book, it uses Digital Rights Management security technology. Please download a preview of the ebook before purchasing it to make absolutely sure you want the ebook. Personally I would be more satisfied with a printed book for a small amount more. Here is the ebook link.

There currently is no PDF book available. Due to security reasons (it's easy to copy) and due to the fact that I think it feels nice to just have a real book in your hands you can follow. Our shipping department ships books within 24 hours for orders placed Sun-Thursday via priority mail, so you will get a real book in a short period of time.

32. If you make ghee from raw butter does it loose special nutrients?

Some vitamins will be lost in the process of heating the butter. However the essential vitamin matrix for mineralizing teeth, activator X, will remain intact even after it is heated. Activator X however does oxidize over about a month's time if the butter is not kept fresh.

33. What is the dosage for fermented cod liver oil in the capsule size? Your book only lists teaspoon sizes.

2 capsules of the Blue Ice Butter Royal is 1500mg (750 mg per capsule). This is approximately 1/3 of a teaspoon. The Fermented Cod liver oil capsule size is 500mg, so two capsules is approximately 1/4 teaspoon. Dave the owner of Green Pasture's said that 5 grams of capsules equals one teaspoon. Keep in mind that these products are very potent. The dosage needs to be adjusted to your personal needs and desires.

For severe cavities, or severe tooth pain or infection, you want 1/4 teaspoon of fermented cod liver oil and 1/4 teaspoon of butter oil 3x daily. For the Blue Ice Butter Royal, for severe cavities for an adult, you'll want to take 10 capsules per day, spread as evenly as possible, or taken with meals. If you are taking the products separately, you'll want 7 capsules fermented cod liver oil, 7 capsules of the high vitamin butter oil. and

For maintainence dosages, about half the amounts listed for adults.

Children (under the age 6-8) should take 1/2 or less of the adult dosage, unless the problem is severe. Also sometimes children want more of the butter oil than the cod liver oil. Sometimes they eat allot, and other times they avoid it. Trust the bodies desire. Overdosing on these products probably won't cause any health concerns. But use them with care.

34. Can I use green pasture's new fermented cod liver oil/ butter oil blend?

Absolutely. This is a great product. But if you are looking to use this product to save money, it isn't cheaper than the other products. It's just half the amount, so you pay about half the price. There is a small extra fee for the capsule products, but they do have advantages as they may retain freshness longer and are easy to carry around with you or to take.

35. Do you recommend anti-cavity mouthwash with fluoride?

No, fluoride is a deadly poison. Avoid fluoride in your water, toothpaste, mouthwash or the dentists chair.

36. I have a cavity. If I buy the book and temporarily improve my diet, and then return to the old diet, will my cavity then get better and then come back?

This is likely to be what will happen. Weston Price found a group of isolated islanders. When the trader ship came to exchange their copra (dried coconut) for white flour and sugar, decay was active. When the ship was gone, and their white flour and sugar stores got used up, then tooth decay stopped as they returned to their natural, nutrient dense diet.

37. I eat a healthy diet like you describe in the book. My child still has cavities. I don't understand why?

This is usually caused by too much fruit, and the use of inferior grain products such as commercially available "sprouted" grain breads. While "sprouted" is better than nothing, it still seems to be poor for our health. I recommend sourdough bread from whole wheat that has undergone a long fermentation time. Pay attention to the use of sweeteners, and fruits. Be careful with foods like ice cream, and any type of sweetener, make sure the sweetener does not contain fructose.

38. The Canadian Government says raw milk is bad to drink, what's your opinion on the subject?

That the Canadian Government is a highly confused entity when it comes to food safety. Raw milk is one of the safest foods on the planet. Milk, even in Canada, used to be raw before people became paranoid that this microscopic organisms in healthy foods cause disease. Toxins cause disease, bacteria eat up the toxins. Not the other way around. Learn more about the safety or raw milk.

39. How do I get enough calcium with vegetables and no with dairy foods.

Lots, and lots and lots of vegetables. Also different herbs that have calcium or enhance calcium assimilation in the form of tea's or edible powders is a good idea.

40. My son has braces. If I improve his diet I am concerned his harder teeth would be more difficult to move. Should I improve his diet?

Yes, you should improve his diet? The reason why his teeth are crooked in the first place is a poor diet that led to improper development of the dental arch. If you really really improve his diet allot, his dental arch will widen, as he is still growing. This will help make his teeth straighter. It is also possible that the teeth will be more difficult to move, but at the same time, if they do move, they will more likely remain in their correct position, as braces can cause, dental distress and put some of the teeth out of alignment.

41. Can egg white cause tooth sensitivity or tooth decay since many nutritionists say to avoid egg whites.

It's not likely that this can happen. However if you are talking about some nasty non-organic factory farmed eggs that were irradiated and so forth, then yes, it can cause all kinds of problems. If the eggs are organic or relatively good, then no it is not likely. Many people in the western world have a weak digestive system. Cooked egg white is definitely one of the hardest foods to digest. Avoiding / limiting cooked eggs whites if your digestion is weak is a good idea. I try to eat as many raw eggs as I can tolerate per day, and I eat the yolk and white.

42. Does kombucha or other "acidic" foods like Sauerkraut and Yogurt harm teeth?

When the acidic substances touches the tooth, then it is possible that a small amount of tooth erosion can happen. Water can neutralize the acid in the mouth. So can saliva. In a healthy individual, eating these acidic foods will not cause any harm to teeth. If someone is highly susceptible to cavities, or has a toothache, then definitely use those foods with care, and rinse the mouth immediately after consumption. Many probiotic foods help our digestive system, by making our digestion more acidic. So we want these foods in our diet. I find kombucha, even home made, to be too sweet. I suggest avoiding kombucha in individuals who have active tooth decay. When tooth decay is halted, then moderate amounts of kombucha is yummy.

43. How do you get your daughter to eat raw liver?

She likes it when it is frozen. She will just eat it. If that doesn't work, put it into a strawberry smoothie. Strawberries, kefir, raw milk, raw eggs, raw liver grated into it. You can also grate raw liver on top of different things, or cook it into a meatloaf or similar type of dish.

44. How much fruit can I consume per day?

How much food you eat and what you eat is your choice. Many people have the habit of filling themselves up with sweet foods. Sweet foods mask our hunger for proteins and fats. Many fruits we have today, like bananas, peaches, pineapple and blueberries are very sweet. In moderation they are okay. What moderation means depends on your specific case. If you have active cavities, then no more than one fruit meal per day, and it should be eaten with a fat like cream. If you don't have tooth cavity problems, you can have more fruit.

45. Is maltodextrin a safe sugar to consume if I have tooth problems?

Any processed and packaged food that contains any sugar is potentially harmful to your health. I would avoid such products.

46. Is there a point of no return to the tooth where it cannot be saved?

The body has an amazing ability, when the conditions internally are correct, to repair and restore itself. There are cases where people have a tooth with a dead nerve, a tooth with a crown or other severe trauma to it, or people who have mercury poisoning surrounding the tooth. In these conditions, it can be difficult to save a tooth through restoring your health. But it surely is worth trying.

47. Can you remineralize teeth with amalgam fillings, and will those fillings pop out on their own?

Tooth mineralization primarily happens from the inside of the tooth outward. The tooth nerve, blood and tooth building cells all exist within the center of the tooth and in some of the miles of the microscopic tubes within each tooth. So yes the teeth can mineralize with fillings. It is not likely that the mineralization will cause the filling to pop out. But it could potentially happen. I think most people who have fillings fall out under a new diet, have their fillings fall out because their teeth are loosing minerals, and thus the cavity is growing around the filling.
