Cure Tooth Decay: Remineralize Cavities Banner

Breakfast Cereal Causes Tooth Cavities In Children and Babies

It is popular to give babies and children breakfast cereals. A baby's first food is some yummy breakfast cereal.

Raisin Bran is thought to be a healthy cereal; let's look at the ingredients.

WHOLE WHEAT, RAISINS, WHEAT BRAN, SUGAR, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, SALT, MALT FLAVORING.

Well at least the first ingredient is not sugar. High fructose corn syrup is not recognized by the body as a food. It is absorbed via the liver. Whole wheat and wheat bran have a little known problem. They contain high amounts of phytates, or phytic acid. Phytates bond onto minerals and pull them out of our children's bodies. Those minerals include calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus.

Interestingly enough, this particular brand of raisin bran (raisins and wheat bran) adds some of these vitamins back into their cereal in the synthetic form.

ADDED VITAMINS AND MINERALS: NIACINAMIDE, REDUCED IRON, ZINC OXIDE, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE (VITAMIN B6), RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2)...

It is possible these added vitamins counter the negative effects of the bran that were found in laboratory tests. Of course these tests are all hidden from the public. So it is possible that raisin bran won't deplete zinc and iron due to the addition of synthetic zinc and iron, but it will deplete and bind to calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

In traditional cultures all over the world, wheat was processed in a different way than how it is for today's breakfast cereals. Traditional societies took pains to process whole grains in a variety of ways to unlock and remove anti-nutrients and toxins in the bran and germ of many grains. So here we think we are getting a lot of vitamins from eating the bran, when in fact, the bran is pulling out vitamins from the body.

You are better off not giving your child breakfast cereals because breakfast cereals contain a double edged sword: unprocessed grains and high fructose corn syrup as a sweetener.

Testimonial about Problems with Breakfast Cereals

"A mother was shocked that her infant had decay.  This case was easy.  While I was talking with the mother, the infant was continually snacking on a cereal."

Many parents I talk to have children with cavities due to consumption of whole grains. This is because even with overnight soaking, many times the phytate is not disabled.

A recent study claims that raisins being added to children's breakfast cereals will stop tooth cavities; I disagree.

Cure Tooth Decay

"I've always known deep down that teeth can heal naturally. When my own daughter began having dental issues, I went on a mission! Already been down that path, and being very scarred from the dental experiences I endured, I knew I couldn't put my child through it. I found Dr. Weston Price's research and my instincts told me this was it! Ramiel has now written a book, drawn from Price's findings, but specifically directed at restoring dental health. The result is a very comprehensive book that lays it all out. He is honest. And the truth is an incredible eye-opener! The protocol works.
