At the root of the so-called root canal "treatment" the principle problem is not treated, but rather the nerve inflammation and pain is mitigated. Those immune cells, such as histiocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, mast cells and plasma cells, existed in the pulp and are removed as part of the root canal procedure.
